The Story Behind the Scent
Velvet & Oud was inspired by evenings that feel full of possibility — rich, mysterious, and a little indulgent. I wanted to create a scent that felt bold and luxurious, like slipping into something elegant before a night out. The exotic spices and deep oud are balanced by jasmine and warm woods, creating a fragrance that lingers and leaves an impression. How strong is the candle’s scent?
We design our candles for a "room-filling" throw. We use high-quality oils so the scent stays strong from the first light to the very bottom without being overpowering.
What size is the candle?
Candle measurements:
Standard: 130g wax (approx). 8.3cm x 6.5cm / Large: 190g wax (approx). 9cm x 7cm.
How long will my candle or diffuser last?
Our standard 200g candles provide a clean, even burn for 40+ hours. Our reed diffusers are designed to scent your space for 3–4 months. We focus on high-quality wax and oils so you get the most fragrance for your money.
How does the subscription work?
It is dead simple. You choose your favourite scent, select how often you want it delivered (we recommend every 30-60 days), and get 15% off every order automatically .
What if I get the scent and I don’t like it?

How quickly will my order arrive?

What kind of wax do you use and how long does it burn?
We use 100% natural soy wax because it provides a much cleaner, soot-free burn. Paraffin wax is petroleum-based and can create black smoke; soy wax is sustainable, natural, and allows the true fragrance to shine through.
Is their candle safety information I should be aware of?
All candles sold in the UK require the same safety information:
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from things that can catch fire. Keep away from children and pets. Keep candles at least 10cm apart. Place candle upright. Keep wax pool clear of matches and debris. Do not burn in a draught. Trim wick to 5mm before relighting. Never burn for more than 4 hours. Stop using when 1/2 inch wax remaining.
